Vinyasa yoga is one of the most popular types of yoga. Vinyasa synchronizes movement with your breathing and is often referred to as flow yoga because the movements are meant to move together smoothly and can seem like a dance. Vinyasa is all about movement and here at Urban Vybe, we take it one step further by making it a fast-paced, music-pumping power yoga in our infrared heated studio. What is vinyasa yoga? It can be a lot of things.


The vinyasa style of yoga allows for much variety. It involves stretching and movement. The class can be fast or slow, but here at Urban Vybe, we like it fast! As with many yoga classes, the actual class and what it involves will depend on the teacher and their style and training. It can be alignment-oriented, include inversions, include warm-up exercises, standing poses, as well as Jivamukti yoga, Ashtanga yoga, power yoga (like here at Urban Vybe), and other types. In fact, a class identified only as vinyasa can include aspects of any number of traditions. The one thing that these classes will have in common is the flow.

We recommend that students take four or five Slow And Deep yoga classes before attending our Vybe Hot Vinyasa Yoga class due to its energy level.
