Exercise is a great way to improve your mental health, mood, and overall well-being. It provides many mental and emotional benefits. Exercise helps:

Depression: According to research studies, exercise can treat mild depression to moderate depression just as effectively as antidepressants and a consistent schedule of exercise can prevent relapses.
Anxiety: Exercise is known to relieve stress and tension. It also releases endorphins which give you an overall feeling of well-being.
ADHD: Within the first few minutes of exercise, dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin levels increase. As a result, your attention, focus, concentration, memory, mood, and motivation all increase, as well. The ADHD medications Ritalin and Adderall work much the same way.
Memory: The release of endorphins in your brain not only makes you feel better, but they also increase concentration and make you feel sharper mentally. And if that is not enough of a benefit, consider this: exercise stimulates the growth of new brain cells and, as a result, helps reduce age-related decline.
