Northshore Bicycle Trails

The Northshore Trail on Lake Grapevine offers over 22 miles of bicycle trails for a variety of skill levels. Although this trail had to close in past years due to flooding, it is once again completely open and cleaned up. Check out DORBA (Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association) for comprehensive information about this and all local bicycle trails. DORBA offers a variety of rides and clinics for everyone from beginners to advanced riders.

It’s easy to hop on the bicycle trail from Lakeside, so bring your bike along and take a quick ride after a class at Urban Vybe. From the studio, continue on Lakeside parkway (away from 2499) to the traffic circle. Take the second exit to stay on Lakeside. At the next traffic circle, take the first exit right onto Edgemere, and the sidewalk will take you to the trailhead on the left. You can also ask for directions across the street at Giant Lakeside.

Bike Experts Across the Street

The Giant Lakeside store across the street has racks to park your bicycle, and can help outfit you with a helmet, lock, and any other accessories, parts, or service you may need. If your bike has been collecting dust in the garage, visit Giant Lakeside for a tune up. They will make sure everything is safe and ready to ride! Ask at Urban Vybe’s front desk to see if we have any recent coupons for Giant.

Did you know that our friendly neighbors also offer free weekly rides? These include Tuesday evening Liv2Ride Trail Ride for women, Wednesday evening Happy Hump Day rides, and a Friday afternoon Feel Good Friday ride. Visit their website and Facebook events page and join them for an upcoming ride!

Stay in Shape at Urban Vybe

Check out our variety of cycling classes all year long to keep you in top shape for the bicycle trails. Cycle Circuit Training and 30/30 Urban Cycle & Lift will get your heart pumping and strengthen your whole body. For something a little different, try Urban Zen Cycle. You’ll be encouraged to close your eyes while riding the indoor stationary bicycle and just focus on your body and your breath. It’s an amazing experience that you definitely can’t try on the trails! If you have the time, Yin Yoga after Urban Zen Cycle is perfect to end your ride with deep stretching to release tension.
